good little jigsaw, i wouldnt use it in production but good around the house. the “lazer guide” is so stupid i dont understand why its on the tool, you cant center it to the neighborhood of the cut. but dont worry id hope your using this thing to cut corners anyway.

I’m learning not to buy electronic equipment made in China. It just tends to be junky. This jigsaw could barely cut through a 2 by 4. It took all my might to get the cut finished, and the cut looked horrible: all that pressure that you have to apply makes it difficult to make a straight cut. The laser ‘guide’ is useless. I used it once and it’s going back. Buy Japanese, German, or American electronics/powertools; Chinese-made stuff is just crap IMO.

I’m on the other side of the workbench when compared to reviewer “corndog”.

My wife said she would use it if I wasn’t crazy about it.
As I watched her PUSH the saw through half inch plywood, I gave it a shot and was so disgusted that it’s been months since I even want to touch this thing. Forget the lazer. Both batteries hold a charge for about 7 mins. The trigger snaped off in my hand.

After having to buy a pack of two batteries(it doesn’t come with any), I realize, I could have bought the Bosch 1590EVS for about 1/3 more. So, I did. It actually WILL cut through 3 pieces of 3/4 ply, allow tight turns, and leave a really clean edge.

Maybe I bought a bad one. My reconditioned Ryobi 12″ miter saw is great.
