Tap water has a most unpleasant taste. At least to me. I like my water to be pure and fresh, good tasting. That’s why I use PUR filters in my two pitchers. I love the taste of the water. It tastes better to me than bottled water. I fill up my Thermos with fresh water and take it with me when I go out. I’ve used other filters but feel safer with PUR. I’m never unhappy with the taste of the water that PUR filters provide.
Check around for the best price. I generally find Target has the lowest price and I can just go to the local store and buy what I need. No need to over pay.

PUR QTSS Whirlpool Quarter Turn Refrigerator Ice and Water Filter Cartridge Review

I purchased this for my Whirlpool side-by-side refrigerator as a replacement for Whirlpool filter #4396510/#4396508. I have always used Whirlpool brand filters, but I saw this one by PUR and decided to try it because (a) it fits, and (b) it was cheaper. Imagine my surprise to find, right on the box, “Manufactured by the Whirlpool Corporation.”
Results: I really think this filter makes my city tap water taste better than the Whirlpool-branded filter! My city water has a lot of chlorine, and this PUR filter really does eliminate the taste and odor. My water now tastes like nothing. It’s just wet and cool and refreshing!
