Tap water has a most unpleasant taste. At least to me. I like my water to be pure and fresh, good tasting. That’s why I use PUR filters in my two pitchers. I love the taste of the water. It tastes better to me than bottled water. I fill up my Thermos with fresh water and take it with me when I go out. I’ve used other filters but feel safer with PUR. I’m never unhappy with the taste of the water that PUR filters provide.
Check around for the best price. I generally find Target has the lowest price and I can just go to the local store and buy what I need. No need to over pay.
Highly recommended.

Keep drinking chemical- and odor-free water with a new PUR water filter. This pack of three replacement filters fits PUR’s Ultimate Water Filtration Dispenser and Pitcher. They reduce cadmium, cryptosporidium, giardia, lead, mercury, asbestos, copper, zinc, and sediment 96 to 99.99 percent; plus lessen chlorine levels and discoloration.
PUR’s filters are made with activated carbon to reduce chlorine and sediment, and include an ion-exchange resin that helps eliminate lead and copper. For best results, filters should be changed every 40 gallons. While PUR filters rid water of many chemicals, coloration, and bad flavors, they do not soften water or remove fluoride. This package of filters measures 7.9 by 7.6 by 2.7 inches, and weighs 2 pounds. –Jessica Reuling
Filters clog up shortly after purchase – Peter –
I bought the pitcher version of PUR although we have very clean water here, to get rid of the fluoride taste. After 2 weeks, no water filtering through anymore. When I called their customer service, I got promised a filter replacement, and instead they sent me a 2 for 1 coupon. Bought a new filter, which clogged up again after only 10 days. What is going on here? Their faucet version holds up to 6 months if you take the filter out after 3 months and shake it. Not so with the pitcher!
Comparably Priced! – T. Lovett –
I compared prices in regular stores and online and found the prices to be a tad cheaper on Amazon once the taxes and shipping were factored in. I would purchase this product again.
Buy “Clear 2 O” instead – mh – Detroit, Michigan
Consumer Reports rates Clear 2 O much higher on quality and price. Part of the price problem may be that PUR has tacked on a mandatory welfare donation for Africa. If you agree that such donations should be up to the individual, buy the more effective, less expensive Clear 2 O!

Eureka 71B Hand-Held Vacuum Review
It is amazing and somewhat humbling to find out how much stuff/dirt is left behind by other vacuums. Like many other reviewers I have a cat, and you would not know it after using this Eureka. Also does an incredible job on the stairs. Only downside, also noted on other reviews, is that it is somewhat uncomfortable holding on to. If this could be addressed it would be a perfect product.

Bissell Swift Sweep Sweeper, 2201-2 Review
This sweeper really works and the handle issue I see commented can be solved by a hammer or strong husband. I highly recommend this sweeper. The entrance carpet regularly gets crumbs and this sweeper picks them up. However I use it the most in the kitchen tile floor and a comfort rug I have. I have a small kitchen and after cooking a lot of crumbs end up on the floor, I wanted something I could have at hand to clean it fast without having to drag the vacuum out every day. I was skeptical this would work especially with all the ones announced with battery and all but this thing works like a charm. Also in the bathroom hair daily ends up on the floor and this one picks them up too. Emptying the trash is also very easy. I’m happy I didn’t go …
