Epson Perfection 4490 Photo Scanner Review
I am very pleased with my Epson 4490P (Epson Perfection 4490 Photo Scanner Model J192A)It can scan regular 8.5×11 inch documents as well as film: 35 mm and 120 roll film (2.25×2.25 inch (6×6 cm) or 2.25×3.25 inch (6×9 cm) or 620 film, which is actually a format of 120 roll film at 2.25×1.86 inch (6×4.5 cm).
I bought it largely to scan film, in particular, my old 120 roll stuff.
Quality is very good. The software is excellent for color correction, adjustments of film (run on the Mac). I did not run the WIndows-based software versions.
With the excitement of a new gadget, be sure not to overlook setting (for film scanning in Professional mode) the ‘CONFIGURATION’ to the correct film size, otherwise you may be chopping off some of the image.

Epson Expression 10000XL- Graphic Arts Scanner Review
I bought the Epson Expression 10000XL Graphic Arts Scanner to archive my large format photographs from my long ago modeling years and to use it for future graphic arts projects. I have a G4 Mac with no USB port and I need to be able to use it on Photoshop 6 on an even older G4 Mac. I was concerned that this model did not have Silverfast 2 software because I read it was invaluable especially for dust removal. Well,I can report that the dust removal,sharpening,light,color adjustments and auto focus that come with the Graphic Arts model work great for my purposes and are extremely easy to use.
