Microsoft Mobile Memory Mouse 8000 Mac/Win Review

The mouse pad on my new laptop (Dell) & I were just not getting along. I chose this mouse, partially due to the connection also serving as a flash drive, & I am so glad. I love everything about it & have recommended it to friends & family. I would definitely buy it again.

Bad battery, even good battery won’t charge. This mouse was a total loss. It would be good in a trash heap.

This product was a disappointment. I have purchased Microsoft mice before and they have always been first rate.

This one was practically a joke. The magnetic cord/recharge function doesn’t work at all. Until you have a fully charged battery the mouse wont work at all since the cord connection does not work so the only way to use this product is the charge the battery yourself in a charger and then just treat it like any other battery operated wireless mouse. This of course defeats the whole purpose of buying this model. In fact, even with a charge on the battery, if you connect the cord it makes the mouse performance become sporadic and sometimes stop working all together.

We thought that the USB receiver/memory key FOB was a great idea until we used it and realized that we will never use the memory key FOB function of it. Being that it is the receiver for the mouse, you are not going to remove it and take it other places to use as a memory device for risk of damage or losing it. If you did that you would no longer be able to use the mouse unless you used it through Blue Tooth (which we did not test so no idea if that works either) so that memory key FOB feature is also useless.

It is a wireless mouse with extra features that both don’t work and others that you will never use.

Save your money and just buy a wireless mouse if that is all you need.

We would have returned it but after my daughter realized she can just charge the batteries in her charger we opt to just keep it. Using it this way does work fine so as a wireless mouse it works. Just no need to pay for all those extras that don’t work and are not needed.
