Logitech V470 Bluetooth Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks (Blue) Review

I bought this mouse to replace the clunky Logitech optical (non-cordless) mouse I was using on my iMac. I chose Logicteck because of the excellent quality of their products. Besides for Logitech’s broad spectrum of design, they also offer a great selection of mice from those with cutting edge features to those made for basic functionality.

The V470 is a bit darker in color than the advertised picture portrays. So if you’ve fallen for the blue light glossy blue then be aware that the actual mouse is more of a midnight metallic blue.

As for functionality this bluetooth mouse comes equipped with a four buttons:
-Left click
-Right click
-Middle click
-Tilt Left/Right click wheel

The tilt left/right click wheel button allows the user to scroll right and left in a window similar to the normal scrolling function of the click wheel.

If you’re not satisfied with these options, it’s okay. Logitech provides the mouse with a “Device Control Center” (a driver program) that allows you to program your the buttons of your mouse to do whatever you want. This includes opening programs.

All in all the Logiteck V470 Bluetooth cordless mouse is a great buy for those with bluetooth capable computers, regardless of whether they’re a laptop or desktop.

This is a awesome product. It synced up with my computer immediatley and the intergration was seamless. I have tried a couple other bluetooth mice and the only one that came close was the apple magic mouse… I would have kept that one but it had some compatibilty issues with windows 7. Had to download a patch and it worked great for 3 days then quit working …. As far as the logitech i have been using it for a month with heavy gaming and photoshop work and it works wonderfully. Would have givin it five stars but the magic mouse was slightly more ergonomic… not to mention cooler looking LOL

I have both this mouse and teh Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000. Both are just fine for use and are accurate, etc. The Logitech mouse is a bit larger, which my wife likes. The MS one is smaller, but has a “back” tumb buttopn whih I like. Either will solve your wireless mouse needs well.

I love this mouse. I have been using one of these for the last three years on countless trips across the country. The mouse is well designed, feels comfortable to use and the battery lasts for a good three months of constant use. I have used it with a variety of Operating Systems – currently using it on Windows 7 and Ubuntu – no problems at all.

I believe a lot of the negative reviews are based solely on bad software (vista!). Of course, how would the average user know? It’s just a bad mouse to them.

My only issue with the mouse is that the black coating on the sides of the mouse, where your thumb would rest, does eventually come off. It’s a matte black textured coating, probably for grip. Underneath is the shiny black plastic. That is why I have just bought another one of these. The old one just looked tatty.
