Logitech MX1000 Laser Cordless Mouse Review

Several years ago I bought the MX1000. I had a gift card to a big box store and had the 0 to blow. I could not believe I was paying 0 for a mouse. I am glad I did. This thing tracks on nearly anything. Battery life is great (I was still getting at least a week on the original mouse’s rechargeable battery after three years or so). Worked great for a couple of years and then I started getting missed clicks and double clicks. I took it apart to get a deep clean and broke the scroll while doing it. darn.

I love this mouse so much that after trashing my original, I have purchased 4 more used/reconditioned versions from the big auction site over the last several months. I use one each on two of my PCs and the other two remain in the boxes for when/if the other ones break down. I am happy to say I should be able to be using my favorite MX1000 mouse for many years to come.

A great mouse, except for the rechargeable battery – Macman – Ohio
I owned one of these for several years, and loved it. I’d still be using it today if the rechargeable battery hadn’t died on me. It’s not user-replaceable, so when it dies you can throw away the mouse. If they had made this mouse to use AA batteries I would have given it 5 stars. Shame on Logitech for making a mouse that won’t allow you to replace the battery.

I used this mouse for four years, one at home and the other one at office. I reconfig all the buttons to fasten all my windows operations. I like it very much.

One of the mice used for four years reaches its battery life.

I will switch to MX1100.

Best rechargable mouse – Gerald L. Collatz –
It makes a lot of sense to use a rechargable mouse for office use and this one has great ergonomics good range and handy charging indicators. It is a bit pricey compared to the competition but one cannot realy compare, as the MX1000 is so much better.
