I have been looking for a new laptop ever since my old one kept getting slower and slower. My son did some research for me online and recommended that I order this model Acer as it fit all of my needs.
The color and picture quality is great. Unfortunately, even though I tried over and over again, the built-in mouse button and keys that are used to click on items and navigate around the screen are so sensitive that it causes items to be highlighted on the screen that I didn’t want to be highlighted and/or blocked. It also takes me to other places that I didn’t purposely click or places I didn’t want to go. Acer TravelMate 6293-6640 12.1-Inch Laptop Review
Great value laptop. Same spec’s as ones that are a few hundreds of dollars more. Works well, straight out of the box. No prob’s. Great little size. Fantastic screen — much better than the bright shiny screen that is on my 1-yr-old Acer 15″. And screen not too small. (I was worried that a 12″ might be too small and thus hard on the old eyes, but it’s fine.) My only niggle = cosmetic: the 9-cell battery it came with is better than a 6-cell battery, so i’m glad I got it for performance reaons. But it sticks out beyond the back of the laptop by half an inch, so it doesn’t fit the pretty, floral 13″ foam laptop sleeve I also bought. So i have had to use the boring old 15″ black sleeve. …
