2.4GHz RF Wireless Keyboard with Smart Touchpad Mouse for MCE Media Center Edition Review

The CE Compass wireless keyboard is a really satisfying purchase for what you get. I’ll divide this up in a pro vs con:
ProsFirst off, the price point is very good. For you get a wireless keyboard with a slew of multimedia keys and probably the biggest draw, the smart touchpad. The touchpad is fan-freaking-tastic. It is my favorite part of the whole keyboard and is PERFECT for a home theater setup. Great sensitivity and the pad space is decent. Range is very good, with no lost input at a distance of 15 feet. Keyboard returns from sleep state very quickly. Keyboard layout is super convenient, which is what I’m looking for when I want to watch a movie. The location of the mouse pad and the multimedia buttons allows you to hold it like a game …

Logitech diNovo Edge Mac Edition Cordless Keyboard Review

I’ve purchased this keyboard to use with my MacBook Pro. Since I use BootCamp to dual-boot LEOPARD and WINXP, I was somewhat concerned it wouldn’t work under Windows. Couldn’t have been more wrong! The winning streak started soon during unpacking since, much for my surprise, my unit actually shipped with e “USB Mini-Receiver”. Besides opening the door to “non-bluetooth-built-in” systems, this also meant the workability under Windows was pretty much assured. Some quick field-tests confirmed just that. It worked seamlessly under both OSs.On the LEOPARD side, you get “passkey protected bluetooth connectivity” and basic functionality out the box. After installing the latest version of LCC, I’ve managed to get every single bell and whistle working. The corrosive bad press about LCC out there made me very reticent to install it. Nonetheless, it seems this latest version addressed many of the previous issues. So far …

Microsoft Remote Keyboard for Windows XP Media Center Edition ( ZV1-00004 ) Review
Great for watching videos on my plasma tvs over the internet. I already have an infrared remote so it works perfectly with the ir receiver. Despite being IR, it works at all angles and seems to have excellent distance, way more than my rf keyboard. I Bought two keyboards for two different tvs in my house, one works great. On the other board, the mouse responds much differently, it seems to move much faster and that does not appear to have anything to do with breaking it in. I think they will always be different and so kind of a pain when using the other one watching tv in the other room but still manageable.

Logitech diNovo Edge Mac Edition Cordless Keyboard Review
I agree with what has been said, in general, if you are looking for a keyboard this one really is good but it has some flaws. First, there is no logitech rechargeable extended keyboard, so while you get lots of neat buttons to work with all the Mac features, you don’t get a ten-key off to the right. I use this keyboard for my personal computer so the only time I get frustrated is when I am working in excel or typing a credit card number or phone number or address.
The touchdisk is fine but the two mouse buttons are terrible. If you want to use the keyboard without a mouse, forget it. Using the two buttons to click is difficult. Double clicking is nearly impossible. All the buttons on the keyboard work great but for some …
