Micro Innovations RF Wireless Multimedia Keyboard & Mouse (KB985W) Review
I bought this set at a local store over 18 months ago.
I use it with my home theater PC, at a distance of about 13 ft between my couch and the back of the computer case.
I have been very happy with the set, under both Vista x64 and now Win 7 x64. There was no need for any drivers to be installed.
I use Sanyo eneloop batteries, and the battery life is a few months. The mouse eats them faster, but that’s expected.
The only signal problem I have had is with the keyboard. Sometimes keys tend to get repeated too quickly. Nothing in the Windows keyboard settings or BIOS can fix it. I don’t type a whole lot on the HTPC – I mostly use the mouse to start programs and movies, so this problem doesn’t bother me much. But I …
RCA WKB10WB1 UltimateTV-WebTV Infrared Wireless Keyboard for the RCA DWD490RE Review
I have two different webtv plus receivers. The first purchased in 1999 and the second in 2001.This is the first keyboard that I have found that is compatible with both of my receivers. I especially like the three different colored keys, making it easier for me to avoid errors, especially when hurrying to finish an email. The keys do not become as uncooperative (sticky, just don’t always print) as the key boards did that came with the two receivers I have. I would highly recommend this keyboard to anyone seaching for a webtv plus keyboard.

Microsoft Optical Desktop Elite for Bluetooth Review
The product itself is great – once you get to used to it. Keyboard feels like it can take a beating, the faux-leather handrest is very comfortable, and the mouse has a nice feel to it (unless you’ve got small hands). No problems with Vista x64.
One caveat: don’t bother w/ MS’s Intellipoint software/drivers for the mouse. It’ll making using the mouse a chore. If you use Winamp, it will NOT scroll down if Intellipoint is installed. That’s just the biggest bug; there are many more nuisances, including erratic and inaccurate scrolling. Not the hardware, it’s the software. Intellitype for the keyboard is fine, even useful.
Overall, as long as you don’t care about customizing what the mouse buttons do (yes, the side ones work fine as forward/back functions w/o the software), then this is a good k/m set. …
Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 3000 Review
I use this keyboard both with my Mac laptop and with my HTPC. It works great in both places, just plug the little USB dongle in and it connects automatically. I sit about 6-8 feet away from the receiver and play FPS games just fine.
I like the weight and feel of the keys, not quite low profile but not super tall either. I have small hands, but the width of the keyboard works for me very well.
The only thing I don’t like about this keyboard is that the F-keys and especially the ESC key are very small. I use the ESC key a lot when I’m writing code in vi, and its a pain to search for it up there in the corner.
