I really want to like this… BUT… – K. Hales – Tucson, Arizona
I really want to love/like this KB, but it has some issues. First, some pros:

1. It is responsive and accurate. I can type over 80 wpm and it seems to keep up fine.

2. It is rugged/durable. Which makes it a bit heavy, but not THAT heavy.

3. The included mouse in the package works… sometimes. More on this later.

4. Inexpensive if you get a used one or re-certified.

CONS:

1. The biggest and “badest” issue is the synchronization. It is VERY flaky and very cumbersome. My Logitech BT Keyboard that I have at work seems NOT to have these issues.
I could blame Windows, but all editions of Windows I try will eventually drop the KB.

2. No LED lights for CAPS or NUMBER lock. Come on, low power LED’s don’t consume THAT MUCH!

3. No recharge option. Okay, I bought my own recharger.

4. Battery life is below average.

5. It is NOT COMFORTABLE. Another big issue is that this KB is in NO WAY ergonomically designed.

Conclusion: It does the job, but could be oh. so. much. better.

I really liked the look of this set, and bought it at Best Buy, when my keyboard suffered a ‘toxic spill’ (LOL) and I needed an emergency replacement. I especially liked the feature of having the media/programmable key’s down the sides, instead of above, the main keys. I use a keyboard drawer on my desk, and hate having to pull the drawer out further whenever I need to access media keys on most other keyboards.

Imagine my mood when, after spending about 4 hours fiddling with settings while trying to set this up with my HP TouchSmart IQ504, I called tech support at Rockfish only to find out that this keyboard/mouse combo won’t work with 64-bit machines.

NOWHERE….on the box, in the user guide, on [...] or any other site I surfed while shopping for the perfect combo, was there any mention of this limitation. In fact, the tech support person (on the phone) said that is a frequent frustration for them, too, because this issue comes up often.

Potentially a good product, but ….. I’ll never know.

Bought this combo to replace a corded mouse and keyboard. I could not get it to work. The included instructions were not helpful, nor was the website. I couldn’t get the combo to work even after I downloaded the driver on the website. So I returned it to the store. Bought a bluetooth combo made by a different manufacturer and had no problem whatsoever.
Can’t recommend this product.
