Ear Force X11 Amplified Stereo Headset with Chat Review

First off, Amazon Prime is great. Ordered these yesterday evening and got them this morning using the 3.99 next day. For the price the headset is really good. No other alternative in the price range. They come with a very long primary cable, the chat cable, and the hookup required if you are using the RCA audio cable. If your are like me and use a HDMI PC Monitor with built in audio speakers and audio out jack, you will need to purchase a stereo cable with a male connector at one end and a female connector at the other. Luckily I had an old one around. Once they were connected, I tested a few games. As stated in so many other reviews, the headphones do make a hissing sound when powered. The sound can’t be heard during game play, just outside of it. I haven’t tested it with movie watching or music listening but I’m sure the hissing isn’t present during this either. Once in the game these things can get loud! The sound quality is pretty good. I did notice a bit of crackle when explosion happened but this was before I adjusted the game volume and monitor volume. After a quick adjustment the crackle went away. I haven’t had a chance to test the chat as far as me talking to other players, but the people who were talking sounded nice and clear and it didn’t obstruct with the game play. If so there is a separate volume adjuster on the cord for chat.

Overall build quality is good. Not the sturdiest, seeing as how they are all plastic but, as long as your not handling them rough they should last. They do fit snuggly over the ear which is nice. You’ll just have to pull them off every now and then to get some cool air on your ears, lol. Overall, for the price you can’t beat them. They are the perfect affordable headset for your xbox console. I wouldn’t recommend them for PC use b/c there are better alternatives to this. As for gaming on your xbox they are almost a must have because you will certainly hear things a lot clearer which will add to your game experience. I think once all the adjustment are correct they’ll be perfect. I’m pleased with my purchase.

I would recommend this headset to anybody, someone who is looking for a low cost item or someone who is trying to take it to the next level, from what i heard it is basically the same thing as the Turtle beach x31 but with a wire. So to sum it up this is an outstanding headset.

Great headphones for your PC and Xbox 360 – Angelo –
Just bought these the other day to use on my Xbox 360 as well as on the PC. Sound quality is great, but the microphone clarity is what really impresses me. The headphones play back what you sound like and my voice is coming through very crisp and clear. The cord is fairly long to accommodate for having to hook up the audio wires to the back of your TV. Overall I’m very satisfied with this purchase.
