The main advantage to this watch is that its slimmer than other G-Shocks, which tend to be large watches, albeit relatively light weight.
I admire Casio for the bold and innovative designs they come out with. This watch is a bit more plain and subdued in appearance. Depending upon what you’re doing, however, the more plain appearance might be desirable. And of course there’s the retro appeal. In the 1994 film Speed, Keanu Reeves is wearing 5600 style watch. This style has been around for a long time.
My only real complaint, and the reason I give it four stars instead of five, is that the five alarms are not “multifunction”. That is, they can’t be set for a date (e.g., your anniversary), only a time. Why would I need five daily alarms? In that …

Great watch good booklet for programming-kind of weird though, the watch is called the GULFman, but the tide fuction doesn’t work very good (at all) for the GULF of Mexico. They should call it the Atlantic-Pacificman not the GULFmanStill a cool watch with great durabilty and features. I’ll use it when I surf baja.
