This is a great watch. I read the reviews, and they scared me a bit with the face visibility issues, went with it anyway. I wasn’t disappointed.
Yes, it is hard to read the face if you’re not looking at it from the right angle. And yes, it is hard to read at night and in low-light conditions. I’m over it. I’d probably be hitting the light button on any other digital watch in the same conditions. It’s easily readable at other times, with normal light.
The appearance, resilience of the design, and functions are awesome. I’ve only had mine for a couple weeks and so, haven’t had any real hard-use situations yet. It’s a G-Shock though, and I have confidence that it’ll perform as required.

This is my first G-Shock watch, and I must say I am very pleased and impressed with my purchase. For those of you who are looking to buy a G-Shock, I suggest you look into buying this one. Don’t let the white color scare you, it looks a lot better in-person than in the pictures they provide here. Being a college student I decided I needed a decent watch to start keeping better track of time. I could have done this with a watch from Target, but I wanted to treat myself to something a bit nice for a change, and something that could withstand my daily activities. (I’m also very athletic.)
