I have this camera for about nine months have passed, and the more I use, the happier I am with him. Video takes absolutely beautiful, and the biggest battery that I bought, so I can seemingly forever to shoot without having to worry about juice or stock, which is great. I have done several projects with him and now I'm very happy with the results.

After the Mini-DV has been used for years, it's so nice not to mention the band. Simply connect the camerainto your computer via a USB cable, hit a button and within minutes you have all the videos on your hard drive in various segments like you broke it once. I love it!

After using a lot, although I will discuss some tips for those who, whether it would consider buying:

1) You need a fairly powerful computer if you change or even expect to see the video you shoot. The 4-core desktop computer works fine with the video, but my 2-core notebookdo not do near as good.

2) Need software for real change or edit the video. The MPEG transport stream is switched off or the camera is not a format, you can expect that "only to be used. You can not send to friends "as is" and They expect it, or download them to expect a phone or a website and by others can be enabled to view it. You really need some sort of editor (such as Premiere or Final Cut), if you really want to work. If your needs are simple, andmainly just to shoot family trips and put it on the Web or want something, this camera can show a lot more trouble then it's worth it.

3) It is true that in low light conditions, the video is pretty bad. Very grainy. For me there is a very serious limitation, but for some it might be a consideration.

I have this camera for a year and will significantly over time.
Pros:
Video looks crisp 46 'television.
The photos are sharp.
I like that you take the photos while shooting video.
Add space for memory card is nice touch
Easy mode for parents who are confused with high-tech gear.

Cons:
Not a big fan of software to transfer video and photos offered by Sony (interface is clunky and confusing at its best), but coz I'm finetransfer them at once and delete them from your camera, to avoid confusion.

My wife and I wanted a high quality camera with plenty of storage space. While it is heavier than a flash-memory-cams, camcorders else felt a bit 'too light and thin for us. The cam at hand feels stable and solid. The hard disk is huge, it takes high quality images (and has a shutter speed fast enough to yourself), and is very easy to use.

The basic battery that comes with the camera takes pretty decent amount of time. We also purchased the Sony ACCFH70 AccessoriesKit for Battery and LCS-VA30 w/NPFH70 case to go with, because it contains a spare battery. We have not used the battery replacement, but it is reassuring to know it is there if we need it. All said and done, we are quite satisfied. We do not have much to attempt all the videos are made on our computer editing and can not fully comment on the moment. Otherwise, everything about this camera to our taste.
