I have to, despite the bad reviews I've heard, I liked this movie. There were many things to like, an idyllic landscape of the great achievements of Samuel L. Jackson and Christina Ricci (what a performance from her, since I saw the pretty girl in Casper and Adam's Family Giving a show like this). The ensemble were all positive, most notably John Coltrane Jr. as friendly preacher, friend of Samuel L. Jackson's character Lazarus, regardless of what some ofthe reviews, I heard Justin Timberlake was an extraordinary spectacle as a friend rode the anxiety of local Luder (Ricci) have.

And of course there is music, apparently Samuel L. Jackson plays all the songs, and some said they might withdraw from the world of cinema and take alternative career as a blues singer.

The film was one of redemption, I've heard some people got up and left the theater because a petite white woman is bound by an old black man, IOne wonders whether that same film, was not the issue of race, the only time I say racial stereotypes may have been touched, was when Samuel L. Jackson asks incredulously if Rae (Ricci) is not to cook.

Samuel L. Jackson plays Lazarus (Laz called) to believe a former blues singer Bible that he quit the music for the happy marriage with his wife and children in the field, his farm in Tennessee, but his wife only for him a model young leftist who happens to be his brother, then LazNow I live the blues, ashamed by the municipality, like, hiding in his garden, drinking alcohol, drinking away his problems, Rae is suddenly thrown on his holding for a Party House of alcohol, sex and drugs. He brings to His house for injuries tend to rise while on his way to the city of some drugs ITS discovers that the local bum who will sleep with anyone, Obviously she has a disease that is saturated with sex, after his return he findsEscapade spread throughout their recovery led by liquid and pills, because she needs help, he does the more conventional way by linking it to his radiator, with the help of a chain-Forty Foot.

Despite what may have been the poster and trailer, this is not sadomasochism and sexually exploited film, one realizes after a while 'that Rae is looking for a father figure, Laz, and a daughter who had never tried, is a beautiful salvation historyfound in any of the two opposites. I have a thing never before, no doubt intended by the director Craig Brewer made some heads turn with some of the storyline, but the overall impression is a brilliant piece of cinema, and guests of Samuel L. Jackson only on the conclusion of this beautiful film.
