If you own a Blu Ray player, this set is for you. Yes, this series has been released many times before. And yes, I have bought each one. To me, this is by far the best set if your looking for picture quality and sound. The images have never been sharper, the colors so vibrant and the sound is just awesome.
I give the set and the movies themselves five stars. Even Rambo 3. I love the characters of this series. Each film brought a new dimennsion to the characters and made you care about the scenario they were fighting about.
Of course nothing compares to the original film. It is a classic beyond compare. But I also really liked the 2nd film too. It is just wild and violent as hell. How can you not love this one if your a fan? I wish sylvester stallone would do commentaries for 2 and 3. I liked them as much as 1 and 4.
Anyway buy this set because it is Blu afterall and the quality is much better than dvd. Oh, before I forget I hope there will be a director’s cut of part 2. I’ve seen deleted scenes for this before. For example Rambo landing with his parachute and hiding it before running upstream looking for Co Bao.

Rambo Blu Ray Box Set – G. Lewis – Portland, OR
I have to admit that I was thoroughly surprised on how good of quality First Blood is. So far I have only watched the first movie, but judging that it is the oldest, the others will probably be just as good of picture quality. I was kind of hesitant in buying these because of prior disappointments with older movies on blu ray, but these are very good. There is very little grain, except in dark parts of the film. Much better 1080p quality than Predator or Terminator on blu ray. Stay away from those. The Dvd version of those are just as good. Anyway, these were a great deal getting them for gold box deal. I would highly recommend these to Rambo fans.

Back to my Rambo III review. The part where Rambo & Truatman are surrounded I love the part where Rambo says “F**k em!” That whole finish of the movie rocked btw C4 tipped arrows ftw. So it’s a good sequel that comes pretty close to 1st blood Part 2.

It was a must have for me! – H. Robertson –
I’ve had this series since the days of VHS, upgrading as formats got better. So buying the blu ray was a no brainer for me. Having done so, I can say the picture quality is the best and I don’t regret doing so. One extra I loved was watching a deleted scene from Part 1 where Rambo actually dies. I’m glad they left it out or I would have missed those wonderful sequels. I’m hopping this will have to be the last time I buy them until at some future date there will be an interactive halographic version comes in which you are in the movie(think Star Trek here).
